This is my new favorite fall flower. Really tall (so it’s flappy and bad to shoot at in the wind), but just gorgeous there swaying above the faltering/bloomed-out plants below. It smacks of optimism to me. And not giving a damn that winter’s coming. Just doing what it does. And I’ve seen several different species of bees on them. Am told that it’s an annual. And I really like it. Shot this on at the botanical gardens in Ogden.
