Getting in to the Agastache

A while ago, I’d mentioned that the bees (bumble and honey) get into the agastache blossoms (to get to the nectar) by poking holes in the flower. I don’t suspect that’s true after looking at a few shots from yesterday. If you look close, there’s almost a collar around the bigger cone-ish blossom. Looks like they get into the space between the cone and main blossom (to access the nectar). At least I think that’s what is going on.
